vacation mode

One families' adventure

Our website has been a while in the making so these pics were taken a long time ago. I think I have looked at them a million times and I always say the same thing to myself, how amazing did this vacation look? Seriously!

I had seen a friend of mine posting on Facebook asking about possible vacation spots that her family and another should go. Piping up as I sometimes do, I suggested a trade. A stay at Casa de las Flores in exchange for vacation pics. The fact Anastasia Cholmack shoots the most beautiful photography for a living and she was traveling with another gorgeous family next to hers, was a dream. As the Casa is an awesome spot to stay with family and friends it couldn’t be more perfect. I suppose I am a little biased but I have traveled a lot and it’s one of the reasons we fell in love with the property. It has lots of privacy yet lots of communal living space too while being close to everywhere you would want to be. And judging by the pics it’s clear they made the most of it.

I am so thrilled to be writing my first post and at the same time a little in disbelief this time has actually come. Passion projects that sit alongside day to day life are slow (but worth it right?!) I’d like to give a big shout out to the amazing team who helped to get this off the ground – Heather Aikens who designed it through many renditions over the years (literally!), Pam McMeekin who PM’d it through one life into another, Greg Conn who built it, Anastasia and friends for sharing your families with us and last but not least my husband, Keith. If it wasn’t for him and his tenacity, we would never have this little dream. #grateful
